A sigh of relief to see an actual tailored coat. My most beautiful, yet simple tailored coat vanished. How? I don't know. Yours is wonderful and I want to see more before I head out to pet woolens for a man's coat.

I see you chose a self collar- do you expect to always have a scarf? We have atrocious winds in the Rockies so I like to be prepared with multiple options for staying warm. (We carry full wardrobes in our cars for weather changes) I love everything about this coat except the recipient wants a longer version so I'll have to inquire about that as an option.

Too bad we have no reason for couture here ...

Yes, the threads were only for marking. The coat needs some ironing and its true colour is black and dark brown.
    And thank you.

Wow this is a real tayloring job! This coat will have a lot of structure. The colorful threads will disappear I suppose?

You are doing a very professional job. The pocket and interfacing are nicely done. Don't give up. I look forward to the finished product.
