Notes Front inner pockets, inner collar and buttons are made of Scuba Suede fabric. The fuchsia colored jacket is 76% wool and 23% polyester.
Changes I made to the jacket:
- the cut of the back is different so that I could get a better fit and the decorative stitching to be continuous from front to back
- I changed the pockets of the basic model to an outer pocket, the original ones were way too small for my taste
- I covered the buttons myself
- In the end, I had to take in quite a lot from the front as well as from the back
I had already quilted the front parts, realizing that the main part is still too wide and would have gone over the decorative stitching, so I made a pleat on the front part. Maybe I was hoping it would shrink on its own. :D
I also purposely left the front of the collar at a different level, thus increasing the asymmetry.
I don't remember what the mountain flower fabric is from, maybe viscose or polyester with a bit of transverse stretch. I carried the hem of the mountain instead of sewing it closed. There is still a waterproof fabric in between, which should also have kept the wind out - yeah. Guess again. :)
The traditional damage happened to the buttonholes. Almost all of them also had a stitch cut, so I sewed all the buttonholes again by hand with a thicker thread.
Getting the right color tone in the picture is challenging. The jacket is not pink but fuchsia. Some pictures have more of a true tone.
