| Note | Fabric: Using remnants of a sand navy black mini dogtooth fabric: light-medium weight cotton, one side brushed. I had enough fabric for longer pants, but wanted to make them tapered. But as I narrowed it down the pants became too tight when sitting down because this fabric has zero stretch and it is quite fragile I think, so I preferred to cut it as a short avoiding too much stress on the fabric. I think that as normal pants it would have been fine but I don’t like to wear such wide legs pants so if I cannot have it tapered then I just prefer to cut it. I used black piping 2 mm wide black piping. I have to use another fabric for the pockets and interior of the waistband, also I have to use for the pockets visible part a piece that is cut perpendicular in the print but from far it is not noticeable because the print is so tiny. As I have to cut it overall 2 cms narrower in the back hips, because I had not enough fabric. But it is a little tight but it still fits. I can sit down even if it is not the short I would put to go to the playground with my young children. |
