Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I was delighted with the accuracy of the drawing compared to the finished garment.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Lekala instructions are quite basic, but they were easy to follow and well written.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This was my first Lekala pattern and I was really impressed with the accuracy of the fit. I purchased the pattern without seam allowance so that I could add extra at major seams in case I needed to make any alterations. I was also surprised how well the sleeve fit the armhole.....an issue that annoys me with commercial patterns.

Fabric Used:
Horse themed Polyester Crepe that had been sitting in my stash for quite some time. I lined the bodice with a sheer voile so that the fabric pattern wasn't hidden and could still be seen from the inside.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I constructed this top for Round 1 of the 2021 Sewing Bee which was for Pyjamas. I added 1cm to the sides and underarm as it was a bit firm for sleepwear, but sleeve length and the V front didn't need any changes at all. I also dropped the horizontal seam by 5cm so that it sat on my waist (which is naturally high). I didn't have enough fabric for the sleeves so I modified the sleeve by slashing the pattern above the elbow to make a fuller sleeve.

Would you sew it again? Yes, I would sew this again.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes.

2021 Sewing Bee Round 1: "Unique to You" Pajamas Review
I have owned or been involved with horses all of my life and purchased this Horse themed Poly Crepe at a sale. It wasn't a fabric that I would wear out and about but it would be perfect for sleepwear. When I became aware of the theme for the Sewing Bee I knew that I had to enter and use this fabric
