Notas | I planned to sew this dress to wear to my daughter’s graduation in May, but that didn’t happen. I finally got around to it now because I wanted to practice my rolled hems. I am shooting for very tiny rolled hems which I got the hang of pretty nicely with the flounces and the hemline. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I do agree that it will look better with a belt as recommended although it wouldn’t be completely necessary. I will have to shop of a narrow brown belt. The zipper is entirely unnecessary. That was knowable before I put it in, but I didn’t think to test that Theory beforehand. Oh, well, I have a zipper now. I had to add some darts from the neck line which worked okay. Over all I do like this dress pattern, and would recommend it, but consider adding darts, pleats at the neckline or more gathering to take in some of the fullness above the bustline. |
