Notes | Lovely pattern. Interesting cutaway waistline and cute collar. I used a wool boucle that has been sitting in my stash and probably inherited from my mum's stash. A polyester lining and a satin grosgrain for the contrast piece. Oh, and I used a maroon corduroy for the inner lining of the collar as two layers of the wool would have been too thick ( and scratchy against my neck) I found the instructions complete. They call for you to topstitch the seams but I didn't as the fabric would have swallowed them, but I did stabstitch around the hem and front and armhole edges to make them look crisper. I also stabstitched around the contrast to ensure it did not move and warp as it is a thinner fabric. I think I should have used fusible interfacing on those smaller pieces. |
