Notes This was a breeze to make - I didn't follow instructions for the sleeve binding, as I thought using a metre of bias fabric would be a huge waste, so I made little bindings using the folding binding maker, and encased the sleeve edges.
The only thing I wasn't happy about was the neckline which didn't lie flat. It looks sort of OK as the way it falls makes little pleats a bit like some of the origami tops I've seen, but I would like to make another that lies flat.
If anyone's got any tips on how I can achieve a flat neckline, I'd be delighted to hear them!

Glad you liked my idea editasedana and I'd love to see the muslin version, and your work version, when they are complete!

Wendy, your idea of fastening is great. I am going to connect the center edge of the right front to the left seam side, at waist level, with a loose ellastic, light enough not the break the fall. Thanks a lot for the idea. Still need to figure out how to get rid of the wrinkles on the back.

I think I have the answer as to why my top doesn't sit flat at the neck, as is usually the case with most patterns, even though the sizes are altered, there is no allowance for an ample bust, so the next one I make will have bust darts increased. As to how to keep it from opening up and embarrassing yourself at work, I think the only answer would be to put some invisible fastener inside it, perhaps over to the right of the underneath half, that cannot be seen and also doesn't disrupt the hang.
I'd like to see your muslin version editadesena! Sounds lovely.

Lovely! I made one out of muslin, just to try it. I want to make one out of thin suiting fabric and wear it in the office. The neckline is flat. My concern is that the front is going to open up at a certain movement. That would be embarrassing. How can you make sure that the wrap is not going to open up?

It's made in cotton lawn, woven not jersey knit.
