For the Short Coat - Sewing Pattern #4318, i chose a Gabardine fabrc (viscose-poyester) and rayon lining, from a fabric stor in Athens Greece (@Ifasmatakaravelis). First succesful jacket i have made so far. Very satisfied with the fit of the pattern, and the visual instructions for the welt pockets. The hidden button panel was a bit tricky, but there are other videos on the web that helped. I added extra interfacing about 6 cm. width in all endings of sleeves, front pieces and back piece. I did not put shoulderpads. Other alterations made: Τhe sleeves are a bit longer, and not divided in 2 pieces. Roll up tabs have been added on the sleeves, with matching buttons in smaller size. |
