I work in the Emergency department of a Community Hospital as a unit clerk. I needed a work dress that is comfortable, practical, and professional looking. I modified the pattern by flaring the skirt to offset my top-heaviness. Then I used a fairly heavy sweater knit for stretch and warmth. Because I used a knit, it is stretchy and I could omit the zipper in back, so I can just throw it on, do up the buttons and go! I added real single welt pockets underneath the bottom flaps, and added smaller flaps to the top to hang my Hospital I.D. and name tag. |
