Notes I had 2m of this lovely bird fabric, with blue tits in cherry blossom branches. I was really pleased to be able to squeeze 2 tops out of the fabric (this one and the short, pleated-front blouse 4759). This did take a bit of "fiddling", as this fabric has a directional print, but by cutting the collar stand facing in 2 pieces and using a plain fabric to line the yoke I cut it all out of the 2m.

This took much more time to construct than the short blouse, due to the number of details, but I am pleased with the result - a long tunic/shirt, which goes well with leggings. Although the pockets are useful, I may add buttons to these - as my mobile phone fell out of the pocket when I was cycling in the top :(

Just a point on the construction. I normally use a woven "shirt" interfacing for the front plackets of shirts, but as this is a very narrow placket I used a normal lightweight non-woven, fusible interfacing (the woven one was too stiff).
