Notes | Georgia with her recent Light Peplum Blouse inspired me to test a similar Burda pattern 113-082012. Seems to be the week of white/blue blouses => see also Nicole's and Amy's fabulous works. Thank you for your inspirations! BTW: The idea of a front opening appeared to me during the sewing process. Below I added a pic from the left side of the blouse to show you the - easy to make - detail. Just a facing with fusible interfacing right side on right side sewn along the neckline and a narrow vertical line up and down, cut it open, turn it inside and iron it carefully. Additionally I sewed a simple skirt (Burda 128-022009) out of the same fabric so that I can wear the blouse even like a dress. Similar lekala patterns should be #5272 and #5264. Fabric: Cotton print Lining: Silk (skirt only) Invisible zippers for blouse (60 cm) and skirt (22 cm) http://sewingpolly.blogspot.de |

Thank you for your method of the converting the high neckline with a front opening. Something I will try on another pattern with a jewel neckline.

Do I see well that you made a skirt to go with it? What pattern have you used for that? What technique have you used to make the front opening stand so nice? A facing only? Thank you

Thank you all for your feedback! It made me start with an skirt of the same fabric so the blouse can appear even like a dress.
