Notes Made from Liberty Tana Lawn "Tiers of light" (the design has the effect of looking up through the leaves of a sunlit tree). Small modifications:-
- hem faced with a 15cm facing, to add weight and give a neat finish
- pocket added to one side seam
- 5cm faced slit added to centre front of skirt, to allow a longer zipper to be inserted (this makes the dress more practical to get on and off, otherwise the front opening was too small to slip off over the hips).
I have worn this dress a lot, the fit and comfort are fantastic, it has received lots of compliments. The brilliant design feature is the adaptable neckline, which looks good zipped up to give a stand collar, or open to whatever height suits the occasion/necklace/etc.
Unfortunately a bit of creasing on the photographs, but I had been traveling in the dress and had worn it for several hours when these were taken.

This looks like another one for the wish list. I like flared skirts, but not too flared. The zip feature is very fashionable currently. Nice.
