Notes | FINAL CONCLUSION: The first one I made was so nice and garnered compliments galore, despite being made out of some really very nasty fabric. I plan to blog the making of the next one, to help anyone else who might want to make this very versatile top. Using bits left over from two other projects - a paisley print viscose and a navy blue very cheap polyester - to make what I hope will be a versatile top to wear with skirts and trousers. This pattern is proving VERY FIDDLY at the lower yoke facing. The instructions are are not at all clear, but I think I've got it right at last, and it has the makings of a nice top, I think. So far I'm liking the way the fullness 'hangs' on the yoke. LATER - The best way to assemble the yoke to get the best effect came tome in a flash as I fiddled with it. Unfortunately that was back in September; now I want to make it again, of course I have forgotten. The only reason I had a problem was because the illustrations don't show the front yoke properly and the instructions scarcely mention it at all. The first one I made was so nice and garnered compliments galore, despite being made out of some really very nasty fabric. I plan to blog the making of the next one. |
