Заметки	Actually, it is a jacket… Actually, the model is kind of modern, and I needed a classic vest. Actually, I made a skirt in the same fabric, and was in need of a vest in the same fabric. So: 1 + 1 = 2: I did skip the sleeves. Made use of the ornamented seam of the skirt to mirror this, used it as a front inset. That is all I did change and left the pattern as it was. Did line the vest with the same fabric as the vest (and skirt), used the same buttons. The fabric is Acetate. Hardly any needle to baste gets trough 3 layers (the onset of the collar has 4 + 4 thick layers of fusible interfacing (used to stiffen bags and so on), also the front parts have such layer, as otherwise the buttonholes will tear. And I had I had to baste a lot, as -if seams are unpicked- tiny holes will remain visible… Beside that: the insets are demanding meticulous work, and with the ornamented parts this was no laughing matter, as I had to baste to secure all tiny ribbons. But hey, if I want some, I’ll get some… If I would change any: the centre of the back is nearly straight. As I have a hollow back this gives ‘wrinkles’. So some curve in it would have been nice. Despite all the work, if I have plenty of time I will sew this pattern again, with sleeves, so I’ll have the choice between a vest or a jacket.
