Notes | I used a light green linen look cotton fabric, summer fabric. I will not sew together the two front panels directly but I will leave them split and add facing to it, and install beads in between the two parts to join the panels by the beads only. Therefore I had to remove 1 cm from each center front seam. But it seemed large so I removed 2.5 cm (instead of 1 cm I had initially as seam allowance) from each side at the center front. Otherwise the fit is quite nice (I thought when I was making it.) I used the low waisted option, which lengthened the bodice appropriately by 4-5 cm-s. Did not make the belt Created beautiful Hungarian hand embroidery with beads, to the front peplum . It ended up partially covered though :) it is ok. I didn’t have the right interfacing at home so it has gathered in my fabric around that area unfortunately. But it is ok as I will be moving around in the dress, it is not a pillow case fortunately… I decided to add a facing along the center front to better hold the shape, and line the upper front only with silk pongé And I added pockets on the side seams ( I like to do that especially when a waist seam is available for me to attach the pockets to. I need it for carrying tissue paper and for phone ) At the end the dress turns out to still be too large: I can take in 5 cm from the waist and hip area and the armholes are quite enormous too. But overall it is a nice dress |
