Notes I used some soft comfy cotton with lycra jersey fabric I had lying around and decided to trial this pattern low risk by making some pajamas. I used a free pattern from Melly Sews https://mellysews.com/ for the shorts.

The neckline looked lower than I wanted it so I added ~ 1 inch to the edges that overlap and bound it with some knit binding that I made from white cotton jersey that I got from Fabric wholesale direct and dyed with rit dye.

The pattern fit just right with those modifications. I will definitely use the pattern again. I probably won't use a contrasting binding for wear out there in the real world. It looks a little too much like scrubs for this nurse's taste.

I used The Maxi-Lock stretch nylon serger thread in the bobbin of my standard machine. I am happy with the results. I used twin needles for top-stitching. I have a walking foot, but I don't find that it makes much difference for this application. I also adjust the foot to have a little less pressure. I find that helps avoid some of the stretch when I sew with knits.
I can imagine making a dress with this pattern, maybe without sleeves for the summer (but certainly with pockets).

Thanks, Lisa :) You’ll also never catch me wearing white pants, but I can appreciate them for other people!

very pretty! the contrasting band doesn't bother me at all, but I see what you mean by 'too much like scrubs'. As a non-nurse myself, I like your result :)
