As I already have plenty of dresses and only one pinafore (recently made), I did turn this dress into a pinafore and added some details and personal touches. To add to the vintage feel I added pocket flaps. I skipped the belt, but made use of a structured fabric at the waist, as well as for the bow and tie. If you do not know how to make a bow… Lekala is not going to teach you, as in the instructions there is no mention of this, so best check You tube (or other). To me the length of the tie is OK, the bow itself I made shorter. The pattern is great, given a dress or a pinafore or a skirt. Tricot 1 euro per meter, the structured fabric some more. Will I make this dress again? One answer: YES, surely I will! |
