Notes Well, this one is finally done. I started it a couple of years ago and put it down to sew my daughter's wedding gown. Then there was the move, the job change, and grad school. Anyhow, should have bought more fabric because I had to be really creative in getting the plaid to match.

It is made of wool flannel. The bodice is lined with wool, but I didn't have enough of that lining so had to use a different lining for the skirt. I found some vintage buttons at a local shop and found a patent leather strap and buckle online.

The placket directions were very confusing so I ignored them and worked it out myself. Overall I am very happy with the end result, and the fit was spot on. This was another completely sewn-by-hand project. I have taken to doing that lately although not exclusively.
