Notes 19/4 Drafted a 3 piece hood (an enlarged version of the one from pattern #5349) to use instead of collar and deciding what to do about pockets. Using grey marle cotton/poly blend for full lining and ethically sourced kangaroo leather for the outer. Will hand stitch the entire outer using saddle stitch (so trimming down all the seam allowances by 0.5cm). Also slightly widened the back yoke to account for shoulder movement with the stiffer leather.

25/4 Have decided on patch pockets (from #5322). Also I think a subtle Raven appliqué for the back. Just because I love ravens :) Punching all the holes for hand stitching is time consuming but otherwise coming together quickly. The lining fits well so fingers crossed.

12/5 finished and has been soaking up leather conditioner for 2 days. :) love it, fits me perfectly. A quicker project than I thought it would be. Now hubby wants one (but he is huge and 6’7”, d’oh!)

I never leave comments, but this time I must. This was really really nice jacket you have made. You have inspired me to make my own :-)
