    Your coat is absolutely lovely! I prefer a hood rather than a hat, too. I think I would like to use this same pattern to make a raincoat.

    I needed a warm coat with a hood because I don't like wearing hats. My first coat, I'm very pleased!
    The basic pattern has not been changed by me, so it is shorter and narrower at the bottom, the illustrative drawing from lakal is not entirely consistent with the pattern
