Notes I had some chiffon fabric with a circle pattern, which I got years ago because I liked the colours - but I had no idea what to use it for. This project was a learning to sew chiffon experience… a very difficult fabric :( !!!
The body of the dress was made from a medium weight ponte knit.

Comments on this pattern:-
Skirt length a bit too short for the volume of the top section, I lengthened by 6cm
No interfacing suggested for this, I found that the scallop section does not work well without, I used a lightweight fusible interfacing to enable the neckline to stay in shape.
I used patterned chiffon, I think this would look better with a plain, translucent fabric.
This fabric was very difficult to stitch accurately, so I stitched the scallop sections through paper, removing the paper afterwards.
No zipper required as the body of the dress is stretchy, if a less stretchy fabric was used this would need a side zipper (the insert in the back neckline prevents a back zip opening).

Not sure if I like this or not, it feels like a special occasion dress - and covid means there aren’t any occasions to dress up these days!
