|Notes||I wanted a casual jacket to decorate with a large embroidery design, this parka was a straight shape, with minimal seaming - perfect!
Fabrics are black denim, with some stretch, lined with a slippery stretch knit fabric. I treated the lining more like an interlining, attached each section to the outer fabric before construction. I did this because the lining fabric had more stretch and was difficult to handle. The stretch meant that the lining could be cut without an ease pleat. Seams were stitched with the overlocker. All exposed facing edges were bound with red satin bias binding, to reflect the red of the flower embroidery on the back and fronts.
Fasteners are hammer in snap fasteners.
I am really pleased with the finished result, this is a great pattern!
