Notes	I only had a small piece of this colourful fabric, just enough to make this top. I decided to use the stripes of the fabric, rather than lines of stitching, for the v-neckline section. Not very pleased with the finished result, I don’t find this style flattering for myself :( Unlikely to make this style again.

Hey I have clicked on this project because I thought it was flattering with the visual effect of the strips. I think it looks good on you. I would definitely wear this inside the bottom piece . I think it looks nice on you really

Maria, as an "older" lady who is a bit chunky, I avoid horizontal stripes as they give the illusion of greater girth, which I certainly don't need. Fact of the matter is, clothes always look best on thin, well-proportioned people. Ahhh, how I long for those days, again. I still think you did a very good job on the construction of the garment.

Thank you Jane, I think you’re right. This would definitely be better in a solid colour.
I also think the v-section is a bit big for a “booby” figure like mine, would probably look much better on a less curvy body!

It looks like you did a good job on it even though you may not really like it. Perhaps you would like the pattern more if you did it in a solid color.
